Artist Statement

If you only had one option, which button would you press?

In a world shaped by escalating states of emergency, this work asks the viewer to pause — to consider value, responsibility, and the quiet weight of being present within a global moment of urgency.

The idea of a single red button becomes a point of tension: a desire for resolution, for simplicity, for an end to chaos. A wish to intervene in what feels overwhelming.

To end conflict.
To slow a warming world.
To restore access, equity, and care.
To imagine an absence of hunger, poverty and a widening of possibility.
